Eeland Stribling is a nationally touring comedian, former wildlife biologist, and environmental educator whose stand-up can take you from politics to penguins before you have time to wonder how you got there.

Recently selected for Kevin Hart’s Funny AF on Netflix, Eeland was also the winner of the 2025 Don’t Tell Comedy competition and a 2023 and 2024 New Faces winner at Comedy Works.

His comedy mixes a silly, sometimes grumpy demeanor with sharp observations and plenty of sarcasm. He has even been called the “Black Steve Irwin” - which makes a lot more sense once you know how much of his life has revolved around both comedy and wildlife.

Eeland was chosen to share his story on an episode of Roots of Comedy on PBS with Jesus Trejo, and his work goes beyond the stand-up stage. He has also written and acted in award-winning short films.

Nerd Roast is back at Denver Comedy Underground, and this time the action heroes are coming for the Terminator.

This monthly comedy showcase pits fictional characters against each other in a good old-fashioned roast, with some of your favorite local comedians stepping into the roles. For this edition, the Terminator is the Roastee of Honor, surrounded by a lineup of action-movie icons ready to take their best shot.

SHARP, RELATABLE STAND-UP FROM A NATIONAL COMEDY FAVORITE

Caleb Synan has built a reputation for smart, conversational stand-up that finds the funny in family, religion, millennial life, and the everyday situations that somehow get weirder the longer you think about them. His comedy is sharp and personal without losing the easygoing energy that lets him connect with just about any crowd.

He has performed on Conan twice, appeared on Last Comic Standing, and released his first Comedy Central special, 30. His quick observations and relatable point of view have taken him from comedy clubs across the country to national television.

Caleb has also performed for U.S. troops in South Korea and Japan, taking his stand-up far beyond the usual comedy club circuit.

FROM PREACHER’S KID TO PROFESSIONAL COMIC

Caleb grew up as a preacher’s kid in a small Southern town before eventually making his way to Los Angeles.

Brad Wenzel is bringing his unmistakably dry, offbeat stand-up to Denver Comedy Underground!

Known for his non sequitur style of joke telling, Brad’s sharp one-liners, laid-back delivery, and unassuming stage presence have made him a standout voice in comedy. His style follows in the tradition of one-liner comics like Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg, and Demetri Martin, while remaining distinctly his own.

A product of the Detroit comedy scene, Brad started performing stand-up at just 17 and has spent the last 15 years touring across the country. He has made three stand-up appearances on CONAN and more recently performed on Don’t Tell Comedy and Netflix Is a Joke Radio.

His debut album, Sweet Nothings, was released on Jack White’s Third Man Records and can be heard on SiriusXM. His 2023 special, joke. joke. joke., was named one of Paste Magazine’s 20 best comedy specials of the year, and his newest special, Desperate Times, was released in 2026.

Raised by two white Mormon parents in Salt Lake City, Skyler moved to Chicago where he became a mainstay of the iconic comedy scene. Sean Michael Cummings and Denver Comedy Underground are proud to announce the one-night-only workshop premiere of CactusMan, a full-length dark comedy for a single performer, on Sunday, November 15, 2026. 

Equal parts dark comedy, reality show confessional, and old-school thriller, CactusMan features Greeley man Frank Ashman – a local celebrity and father of two.

Frank is reality TV royalty: a two-time semifinalist on House of Theseus, the competition show that asks who would you vote out of your own family? 

After twenty years off air, Frank sets up his camera to tape a new audition. But some mistakes are too big to leave on the cutting room floor…

The evening marks the fully staged workshop premiere of a new play by Denver writer Sean Michael Cummings. Cummings is the author of “Toxoplasmosis (or) High Strangeness” (DCPA Off-Center), “Bazaruto” (Phamaly Theatre Company) “Snipes” (Semifinalist, John Cauble Award for Outstanding Short Play), and doghead (Semifinalist, Bay Area Playwrights Festival). He is a recipient of the Orchard Project Fellowship and did stand up comedy in another life.

CactusMan also marks a new chapter for Denver Comedy Underground. Nationally recognized for its superior comedy programming and unparalleled intimacy, Denver Comedy Underground will open its stage for the first time to a full-length new play by a Denver playwright. 

“CactusMan is really funny, but it’s also a well conceived night of theater,” said Ben Bryant, owner of Denver Comedy Underground. “I think Sean is writing some of the best new theatre in America, and this is a piece I really believe in.”

“My little joke,” Sean remarked about CactusMan, “is that every reality show is just a true crime show in slow motion…”

Often, the people I start out rooting for on reality TV wind up being absolute heels. So am I guilty by association, for cheering them on? With CactusMan, I wanted to get into the head of a longtime reality TV star and see what makes them tick. This show is equally the product of the Russian masters and about 1,000 hours of Real HouseWives.

Audrey Stewart is a Los Angeles–based actress and stand-up comedian. A regular at the Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory, and the World Famous Comedy Store, she also performs at clubs and festivals around the world. In 2023, she was named a New Face at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and has since performed at the 2024 and 2026 Netflix Is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles.

Taught by established pros at our beloved comedy club, this is the best place for a comedy class in Denver!

For this round of classes-classes are at 2pm on Saturdays, the course runs for 6 weeks, starting on January 9th!
